After watching I just stared at the blackness and listened to the silence. Contemplating what just happened to me. And then I knew. I was just in New York around Christmas 2008 and now I’m home again in Amsterdam september 2009. That’s big.
And you do that to me most of the time.

this was my most common footage for a while and what made me stop making videos for a time. the nyc rush. it started to depress me. but damn you really pushed this one out with vigor. i liked it a lot. especially the last clip :)

Jesus Christ, the POWER of your cuts. What a soundscape!
I’ve seen a few of these by other people: moments from a day cut together without commentary. But nothing with this ferocity and vitality. I mean, I know I’ve had two pots of coffee this morning, but that was like a cold wet towel on the back of the neck at a Detroit Techno party. Hard pushed to choose a favourite of your films, but this – in its simplicity – could be it.

Snips of quotidian run, condensed + slightly frozen
pouring down gently as snowflakes on a megalopolis street corner

framed, the nine all present:
Caliope in utering steps, Clio recording footage, Erato hiding in a shopping window display, Euterpe spread in the piece, Melpomene hovering here and there, Polymnia and Terpsichore blended in, making Thalia blossom until Urania makes the connection through a slight tourbillon of snow…
